Explore this interesting techniqueYou will use fresh and dried leaves and grasses and prepare them for printing using disperse dyes , after a demonstration of the heat press you will prepare your own dye papers and explore a variety of techniques using different textures . In the afternoon you will print onto fabric and create surprising results.

You will print on different weights of paper and then print a cotton bag or tea towel.

Mells Tithe Barn 

Learn about the traditional craft of block printing in this workshop located in the beautiful village of Mells, Nr Frome.

With the walled garden as inspiration you will learn to use hand carved woodblocks and thermofax screens to create design reflecting the planting . You will print on paper and then in the afternoon design and print a bag for your Summer outings.

Hawkwood CFT, Stroud 

Learn about the tradional craft of block printing in this workshop located in the tranquil setting of Hawkwood CFT

You will use my collection of over a hundred blocks to experiment with repeat patterns, use of colour and design. Starting on paper you will then have a chance to print onto a fabric piece to take home.
