Indian Block Printing
Learn about the traditional craft of Indian Block Printing and enjoy being in the centre of Bath in the historic No 1 Royal Crescent.
We will start with a brief introduction to block printing and it's impact on fabric designs.
You will have the opportunity to print a tea towel or bag using a collection of hand carved Indian woodblocks.

Walcot Textilers - a group exhibition.
You are invited to visit a group exhibition with four textile printmakers exhibiting and selling their work in this beautiful setting.
There will be framed artwork, cards , wallhangings and textile items for sale, each one hand printed and designed by the artists.
A chance to talk to the artists about their inspiration and print techniques and to purchase some original work

Printing with Leaves is an exciting, innovative and experimental technique using natural leaves and the heat press.
Join me to learn how to prepare leaves for printing , and print onto fabric creating unique designs .

Indian Block Printing
Learn about the traditional craft of Indian Block Printing and enjoy this lovely venue.
We will start by looking at examples of hand carved printing blocks and fabric samples and using photos the history of block printing and the process involved will be explained.
After a demonstration you will have time to print on paper using the collection of blocks, we will think about repeat patterns, colour, design and combining blocks .
After lunch you will print a fabric piece to take home using your favourite blocks.

Learn about the traditional craft of Indian Block Printing in this historic location associated with Jane Austen.
We will start by looking at examples of hand carved printing blocks and fabric samples and talk about block printed fabrics used in fashion.
After a demonstration you will print on paper using the collection of blocks, we will think about repeat patterns, colour, design and combining blocks . You will then use your favourite blocks print on fabric.
