Join me for an introduction to  'Printing with Leaves ' in a fabulous central Bath location in Great Pulteney Street.

We will start by looking at examples of printed designs and you will learn how to use the heat press and natural leaves to print unique designs on fabric. 

This short workshop will introduce you to this exciting technique and you will produce individual prints that can be framed as artwork or used as part of a textile project.

Learn about the traditional craft of Indian Block Printing in this historic location associated with Jane Austen.

We will start by looking at examples of hand carved printing blocks and fabric samples and talk about block printed fabrics used in fashion.

After a demonstration you will  print on paper using the collection of blocks, we will think about repeat patterns, colour, design and combining blocks . You will then use your favourite blocks print on fabric.

You are invited to visit a group exhibition with four textile printmakers exhibiting and selling their work in this beautiful setting.

There will be framed artwork, cards , wallhangings and textile items for sale, each one hand printed and designed by the artists.

A chance to talk to the artists about their inspiration and print techniques and to purchase some original work

Printing with Leaves is an exciting, innovative and experimental technique using natural leaves and the heat press.

Join me to learn how to prepare leaves for printing , creating unique designs .
